FAQ
Questions about building an ICP
What is an ICP brief?
It is a one-page definition of exactly who you sell to: industries, company size, geography, buying titles, trigger signals and the records you never want. It is the input a data team or a sourcing system needs to build a list you will actually call.
How specific should my ICP be?
Specific enough that two strangers reading it would build nearly the same list. Name the industries rather than the sector, give a headcount or revenue band, and list the titles you want rather than a seniority level alone.
Why do exclusions matter so much?
Most bad lists are not wrong about the industry, they are full of suppliers, vendors, consultants, competitors and companies far outside your size band. Writing the exclusions down is the fastest way to lift list quality.
Can I use this brief with LeadNumbers?
Yes. Copy or download the brief and paste it into your onboarding or your free sample request. It is the same structure our sourcing and auditing steps use.
Is anything I type here stored?
No. The builder runs entirely in your browser. Nothing is submitted or saved unless you copy or download it yourself.
