Connect rate calculator
The short answer
Describe who you sell to and this estimates the mobile coverage you should expect on that list, the connect rate per dial, how many dials it takes to hold one conversation, and what the data costs at real LeadNumbers prices. It runs in your browser, with no signup and nothing stored.

1,500 prospects a month costs $149, which is 9.9 cents a contact. Rep time is not in these figures, so use the cost per meeting calculator for the fully loaded number.
Records without a mobile are assumed to sit behind a company line, which connects at roughly a fifth of the mobile rate. That is why coverage moves the result as much as the connect rate does.

What moves a connect rate
Coverage sets the ceiling
A list where three in ten records only carry a switchboard number cannot connect like a mobile-first list, no matter how good the rep is. Coverage is the first number to fix.
Seniority cuts both ways
Owners of small companies answer their own phones. Executives inside large companies rarely do, so their lists need more attempts and a sharper reason to call.
Attempts compound
One attempt reaches a small slice of a list. Three well-spaced attempts across different times of day reach a much larger share of the same people at no extra data cost.
FAQ
Questions about connect rates
What is a connect rate?
The share of dial attempts that reach the person you were trying to reach. It is measured per attempt, not per contact, so a list with a 10 percent connect rate and three attempts per contact reaches roughly a quarter of the people on it.
What is a realistic cold call connect rate in 2026?
Mobile-first lists typically connect at 8 to 20 percent per attempt. Switchboard and company-line lists usually run 1 to 3 percent because a gatekeeper or a voicemail tree sits in front of the person. Seniority, industry and calling window move the number several points in either direction.
What does mobile coverage mean?
The share of contacts on a list that carry a personal mobile or an explicit direct dial rather than a main company number. Coverage is higher in North America, higher for owner-led and small companies, and lower for very large enterprises and for some European markets with stricter data rules.
How does this calculator estimate my numbers?
It starts from published coverage and connect benchmarks by region, seniority, company size and industry, adjusts for your calling window and dial attempts, then prices the prospect volume against the real LeadNumbers plan ladder. It is arithmetic on benchmarks, not a promise, so replace the defaults with your own measured rates once you have them.
Does a higher connect rate really matter more than a cheaper list?
Yes. Data is usually a single-digit percentage of the total cost of an outbound motion. Doubling the connect rate roughly halves the dials and the rep hours needed for the same number of conversations, which moves the total far more than a cent or two per contact.
